A swag of rewards 16 Dec 2011
The school at Ngukurr has distributed about 80 swags to students who’ve achieved attendance rates of more than 80 per cent or more during the past year. The swags-for-attendance reward program was an initiative of the Life Without Barriers’ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Fund – supported by DET and private enterprise. The school says the reward has proved so popular, the Ngukurr community may fund a similar scheme in 2012.
